As an award winning custom homebuilder and remodelor for over 30 years Gale Culbert has an eye for detail and quality honed by hands on experience. He was among those in the forefront of the “Green Building” movement as one of the founding members of Build a Better Kitsap, one of the first green building programs in the nation. It was through the prism of old world craftsmanship, and new age science that his discovery of Basement Systems “CleanSpace Encapsulation System” at the International Builders Show in 1999 helped to revolutionize the crawlspace repair industry in the Pacific Northwest. This new system was something that he could see filled a void in the current construction practices in the Pacific Northwest and needed to be a part of his building program. It addressed all of the problems typically associated with damp, dingy, “code compliant” dirt crawlspaces, and had the added benefit of increased energy efficiency.
Since the early beginnings of the crawlspace repair industry, CleanSpace Northwest Inc. has been the leader in the Pacific Northwest. Formerly a division of Ironwood Builders Inc., in 2003 CleanSpace Northwest transitioned into a full scale Basement Systems Dealer offering basement waterproofing, basement finishing systems, crawlspace and foundation repair, insulation systems, and moisture control. Always keeping in mind the 4 tenets of Basement Systems philosophy, Leadership, Integrity, Responsibility, and Innovation we continue to grow as we provide cost effective, energy efficient solutions for our customers.
